Diary/Gallery

Day one:
Today we sat down as a group and came up with some initial ideas. We stuck with the idea of producing a horror movie.

Day Two:

We began to research individually into the horror genre trying to discover and establish how we want our short film to be and what we wanted the storyline to be based around.

Day Three:

We incorporated the idea of people who are told their psychotic when their really not.  In the short film we have decided to use a group of friends.

For the next One Week:

We continued to research into psychosis, and other medical conditions similar to psychosis. we also analysed similar short films; acknowledging what we wanted to achieve similar to such short films.

Halima finishing off the questionnaire and evaluating them.
Iram finishing off the short films and putting everything into structure on the Blog.
Lorna finishing off the Recce.

Week six: 7th October 2014.

Iram: Attaching files to the blog and practicing to use Final Cut Pro.
Halima: Going through the story board and mentioning the time, angles, composition, etc.

All preliminary research and the initial construction is now completed and we are ready to start filming the movie.

Week Eight: 21st October 2014.

Week Eleven: 17th November 2014.

Here, we have Halima practicing a scene where she is pretending to be a scary figure in the dark.

Here we have been shooting some scenes in the drama room of Iram portraying herself as a scary figure whilst Lorna uses the camera to give a point of view of what she is seeing. Behraam is seen doing the camera work whilst Halima helps out with the lighting, directing and sound.

Week Sixteen, and Seventeen: 16th December 2014.

From all the recording we had done, we decided it was time to sit down as a group and begin to make edits and try to put the clips together, trying to make the film flow and have a sequence.

Week Nineteen: 6th January 2015.

We noticed that we still had a lot of filming to do in order to make the scenes flow and make better sense. To film we used our school forest and the Atrium.

Further we used 'Final Cut Pro' on the Macs to make edits to the film. Behraam being the main editor taught pretty much the whole team how to use the software; establishing tools such as the importing the videos from the camera to the software, to making Cuts and Blading the clips, to combine clips from one scene to the next at the same time making sure that it all links. We now understand how to 'Match Colours' when two clips/scenes don't match in their colour. Moreover, we learnt to add transitions to make the film more exciting.
